Almond milk, soy milk, hazelnut milk, cashew milk, pecan milk…. all great dairy free choices. My current favourite? Oat milk! Naturally sweet, high in protein, and it froths up pretty well compared to other store bought nut milks (ahem… cashew milk).
This weekend’s mission is to find a nut milk bag so that we can experiment with making our own cashew and almond milks in the Vitamix!
I made this cheater latte with strongly brewed coffee, a splash of vanilla, and Earth’s Own unsweetened vanilla oat milk. I used a small hand held frother to get a creamy foamy top. Just what this mama needed between rounds of playing vet, painting shapes, and playing dress up. Whew!
